Osmar Camelo
      Head Coach of Health Division
      Profile

Coach Osmar started studying about training to understand and improve his own athletic performance. Back in 2015, he decided to quit his job and dedicate himself to this new career. He graduated in Physical Education in his hometown, São Paulo, Brasil, where he soon started working with amateur and professional athletes as well as people looking for a healthier lifestyle. He later specialized in Exercise Physiology and used to share his time between the gym floor and the physiology lab, applying his acquired instruction with children, elderly, age group athletes, fitness and sports enthusiasts and even Olympic athletes. His focus was to ensure better performance by using new technologies, physiological tests and field results in the athlete's daily training, recovery and nutrition routine. Working alongside other professionals such as doctors, nutritionists and physiotherapists provided him a broader view of human needs and capacities related to exercise and training. In Dubai for 2 and a half years now, he's been working as a personal trainer for clients of the most varied backgrounds. He's also been coaching endurance athletes with focus on cyclists, runners and triathletes. He helped in the development of projects for assessment of athletes including body composition, aerobic capacity, strength, mobility and sports specific skills. Coach Osmar has always been a keen sportsman. From the young age dedicated to competitions of swimming and gymnastics, to his passion for endurance sports later in life (especially running and cycling), he also found time to discover new modalities as hobbies: boxing, muay thai, rugby, american football, among others, cricket being his latest passion
