The Strait of Bonifacio has been swum by fewer than 400 people in history. In October 2019, we conquered the 15 km swim from Corsica to Sardinia in solo format fro the first time. This is not a mass swim — you won’t see thousands of people at the start and finish. This is a unique swimming expedition for brave and confident individuals.

The second-largest island in the Mediterranean Sea, where your adventure begins. This is where you will live and train while waiting for the start: Azure shores, delicious Italian food, and the company of like-minded people.
The fourth-largest island in the Mediterranean Sea, Sardinia is separated from Corsica by the Strait of Bonifacio. You will cover 15 km with a boat and a team, finishing in Corsica.
In mid-September, the water temperature is expected to be around 18-20°C and the air temperature around 20-24°C. A wetsuit is recommended for the swim. More precise information about weather conditions will be available a week before the trip.
Full support for the swim across the Strait of Bonifacio includes pre-start training, support boats, a captain, a doctor, accommodation at Hotel Da Cecco, and a guide on the team. You’ll receive a certificate at the finish.
To participate in the swim, you need to have a minimum of a 7 km swim in your record with a confirmed result and be able to swim 1 km in the pool in less than 20 minutes.
All solo swimmers will be divided into groups by their pace groups.
